Black'n'Red Outfit (farewell Summer!)

Z tym postem definitywnie żegnam lato. Oficjalna impreza co prawda się nie odbędzie, za to uczczę ten fakt minutą ciszy... Wierzcie mi, że próbowałam już absolutnie wszystkiego - nawet zaklinania - by choć przez moment pocieszyć się jeszcze ciepłem i słońcem. Nic nie pomogło! A temperatura z dnia na dzień spada tak raptownie, że nie raz zastanawiam się nad wyciągnięciem ciepłych kurtek i czapek. Żeby tego było mało, na koniec dostałam jeszcze jesiennego kopniaka i jestem już ostro przeziębiona. Ktoś jeszcze ma ochotę poigrać sobie z pogodą? ;-P

I'm definitely saying "Good-bye" to Summer today. Well, I didn't plan to make any good-bye party, but I may honour this fact by the minute of silence... Believe me, I tried absolutely everything - even casted magic spell on weather - to enjoy the warmth and sun for a little longer. Nothing helped! And the temperature outside decreases so rapidly that I sometimes think of pulling out warm jackets and hats. To make it worse, I got a kick in a but from the early Autumn and I have a bad cold. Anyone else to play with the weather? :-P

Oversized "Scoop Top"

Lubię lato, a jeszcze bardziej jesień. Kocham długie ciepłe wieczory i krwawo-czerwone zachody słońca. Nic bardziej mnie nie uspokaja niż nocne cykady. I smutno mi trochę jak pomyślę, że niebawem gorące dni, na które tak cierpliwie czekałam, przeminą wraz z ostatnim ciepłym sierpniowym porankiem. Ja jednak wciąż szyję i kompletuję letnie ubrania, bo wydaje mi się, że jestem w stanie zatrzymać ten miły dla mnie czas - choćby na krótką chwilę. Uszycie tego topu też było dla mnie jedną z takich letnich przyjemności. Wyszedł obszerniejszy niż przypuszczałam, ale wcale mi to nie przeszkadza. To pierwsza oversize'owa rzecz, jaką mam w szafie. Całkiem ciekawe doświadczenie :-)

I adore Summer, even as much as I like Autumn. I just love long and warm summer evenings, and all those purple sunsets. There's no other thing so calming my soul as late night cikadas. Hot days, I patiently looked forward to appearing, will go away with the last warm august morning, and I feel pretty sad about it. But I keep on sewing and filling up my wardrobe with summer garment, as if I could stop the time and cherish these pleasant moments for a little longer. Making this top was one of those summer pleasures. It turned out a bit wider than I expected, but it doesn't bother me at all. It's actually the first oversized thing I have in my closeth. And I have to admitt it's a quite interesting experience :-)

 

Tygrysie głowy... na szortach

Ostatnie upały mocno dają mi do wiwatu. Ciężko mi wykrzesać z siebie coś więcej, kiedy tropikalne temperatury odbierają siły i spowalniają myślenie. W takie dni po prostu nie mam ochoty siedzieć przy maszynie, pomimo pomysłów, które kłębią się w głowie i nie dają spać po nocach. Przymusowa przerwa sprawiła, że zebrała mi się już pokaźna ilość projektów grzecznie czekających na realizację, i naturalnie na delikatne ochłodzenie ;-)

Recent heat taught me a hard lesson. It's not so easy for me to make any sewing efforts when tropical temperatures take all my energy away and slow down thinking processes. So naturally, these days I'm really unwilling to sit behind the sewing machine, althought I've got so many ideas messing in my head. I was forced to put all my projects away by an unexpected sewing break. They need to wait patiently for their turn till some cooler days finally come.
